Nuptial Mass united Zaunbrecher, Barousse

RAYNE - Cicely Renee Zaunbrecher and Homer Edward Barousse III were united in marriage during a 6:30 p.m. May 7 nuptial Mass. The ceremony was held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rayne, with the Rev. Bill Roskoski officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Zaunbrecher of Rayne. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Reginald Zaunbrecher, Mrs. Reginald Zaunbrecher of Rayne and Mr. and Mrs. Clovis Boudreaux also of Rayne. She is a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in Crowley and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs .Homer Edward Barousse Jr. of Crowley. He is the grandson of Mr. Donald Baker of Shreveport, the late Mrs. Donald Baker, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Edward Barousse Sr. He is a graduate of Episcopal School of Acadiana, Millsaps College in Jackson Ms, and received his law degree from University of Richmond, Va. He is employed at Plauche, Maselli, Parkerson, LLP in New Orleans.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant a-line gown of ivory silk dupioni featuring a strapless neckline adorned with seed pearls and crystals. Cascading covered buttons completed the gown throughout the chapel length train. The bride wore a cathedral length veil. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses, star-gazer lilies and miniature calla lilies.

Maid of honor was Catherine Zaunbrecher, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Christina Mayeux, Claire Zaunbrecher, sisters of the bride, Lesley Malinowski and Meredith Barousse, sisters of the groom.

The best man was William Barousse, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Charles Barousse, brother of the groom, Matthew Malinowski, brother–in–law of the groom, Jude Mayeux, brother-in-law of the bride and Homer Edward Barousse Jr , father of the groom.

Usher were Andre Carr, godchild of the groom and Chris Aghayan.

Flower girls were Mary Elise Mayeux, godchild of the bride, Catherine Mayeux, niece of the bride, Genevieve Mayeux, niece of the bride and Lorraine Malinowski, niece of the groom.

Ring bearer was Nicholas Fogleman, cousin of the bride.

Readers were Chellie Labove of Lake Charles and Michelle Carr of Crowley. Gift bearers were Cassie Ronkartz of Rayne and Louise Vidrine of Ville Platte.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Café Vermillionville the evening before the wedding hosted by the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Edward Barousse Jr.

Following the wedding, a reception was held at City Club at River Ranch.

Out of town guests registered from Shreveport, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Houston, Westpoint Ms., Richmond Va., and Vancouver BC.

After returning from their honeymoon trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple will reside in New Orleans.
