SIDONIA ‘NA-NAN’ GUILLORY
May 11, 1923 - October 17, 2008
Funeral services were held for Sidonia “Na-Nan” Guillory, 85, of Pine Prairie, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Pine Prairie at 2 p.m., Monday, October 20. Burial followed in the Platin Cemetery.
Ms. Guillory died Friday, October 17, 2008, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. She was affectionately known as “Na-nan” and loved listening to French music. A loving sister, aunt and friend, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include four brothers, Aswell Guillory of Turkey Creek, Edward Guillory Sr. and Senia Guillory, all of Pine Prairie, and Elson Guillory and his wife, Linda, of St. Landry; one sister, Lena Andrus of Pine Prairie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Rosa Guillory; three brothers, Ellis Guillory, Leonard Guillory and Howard Guillory; and two sisters, Luna Leger and Elsie Granger.
Father Richard Broussard officiated.

Funeral services will be held for Sampson Delafosse, 79, of Ville Platte, at St. John Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 25. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Funeral services will be held for Jeffery Ben, 65, of Ville Platte, at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Ville Platte at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 25. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

MARIE ‘INEZ’ DOUCET
Funeral services will be held for Marie “Inez” Doucet, 91, of Grand Prairie, at St. Peter the Martyr Catholic Church in Grand Prairie at 4 p.m., Friday, October 24. Burial will follow in the church cemetery next to her husband, the late Napoleon “Paul” Doucet, who passed away January 2, 1989. They were married December 8, 1932.
A loving and wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Ms. Doucet died at 1:31 a.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at Ville Platte Medical Center. She was a retired school cafeteria worker for Grand Prairie High School. After her retirement, she loved to quilt and work in her beautiful flower gardens. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone. She never complained about anything and was very thankful for everything someone did for her.
Survivors include one son, Joseph Donald Doucet of New Iberia; one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Norma) Blood of Grand Prairie; two granddaughters, Mrs. Shawn (Rachel) Melancon and Sheralyn Blood and her fiance’, Fred Adams, all of Grand Prairie; one grandson, Gary D. Blood Jr. of Pine Prairie; four great-granddaughters, Richie, Lindsay, Laura and Abby; one sister, Leola Roberie of Mamou; and one sister-in-law, Inez Ardoin of Grand Prairie,
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Doucet; her parents, Odea and Edna Brignac Ardoin; and three brothers, Luke, Davis and Travis Ardoin.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m.-10 p.m., today, October 23, with a rosary being recited at 7 p.m., and will resume again at 8 a.m., Friday morning until the time of services.
Father Mark Melancon will officiate.
