Katelyn Hebert strong>
St. Martinville - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville, for Katelyn Reneé Hebert, 4, who died on Sunday, October 26, 2008.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.
Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the funeral Mass and conduct the funeral service. Scripture readings will be read by Ashley Guidry and Sandy Trosclair. Gift will be presented to the Altar by Marie Bourque and Jeanne Hebert.
Katelyn was a Pre-K student at the Early Learning Center in St. Martinville. She enjoyed going to the camp and fishing. Katelyn was quite the pretender - always pretending she was going to the camp. She loved playing with animals and was a huge fan of “Hannah Montana.” She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her mother, Marcelle Bourque Hebert, of Broussard; her father, Michael Hebert, Jr., of Erath; one sister, Kylee Hebert, of Broussard; her maternal grandparents, Christine and David Bourque, Sr., of St. Martinville; her paternal grandparents, Susan and Michael Hebert, Sr., of Erath; her maternal great grandmother, Winona Fuselier, of St. Martinville; and her paternal great grandmother, Jeanette Scott.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandfather, Marcel “Paw” Fuselier; her paternal great grandfather, Johnny Scott; a great aunt, Loretta Bourque; and a great uncle, Hubert Bourque.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Tuesday and continue at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hebert, Jr., David Bourque, Byron Fuselier, Jr., and Shane Fuselier.

Geraldine Ann Schexnaider strong>
Abbeville—Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at a 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Therese of the Child Jesus Church honoring the life of Geraldine Ann Schexnaider, 67, who died Sunday, October 26, 2008 at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
She will be laid to rest at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery with Reverend Kenneth Mayne officiating the services.
She is survived by two sons, John H. Schexnaider, Jr. and wife Stephanie, and John Scott Schexnaider; a grandson, Jason Scott Schexnaider; a granddaughter, Britney Lemair; and a sister, Anna Belanger, brother in law James Belanger, Sr.; two nieces Jamie Belanger and Rhonda Nugier; and one nephew James Belanger, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson and Helen Palombo Boudreaux; a son, John Ashley Schexnaider; and a brother, Earl J. Boudreaux.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles Street, on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 8:00 a.m. until service time, with a rosary to be prayed at 11:00 a.m.

Lovelace DuBois strong>
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the Kaplan Cemetery honoring the life of Lovelace Joseph DuBois, 75, who died Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
He will be laid to rest at the Kaplan Cemetery with Father David Broussard officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sable Thibodeaux DuBois of Abbeville; one son, Jimmy DuBois of Lake Bay, Washington; two daughters, Karla Borde’ and husband Jude of Abbeville and Karolyn DuBois and husband Scott of Bend, Oregon; one stepson, Tracy Viator of Abbeville; one stepdaughter, Sheila Orr and her husband Robert of New Iberia; two brothers, Dallas DuBois and his wife Martha and Joseph “Dim” DuBois, of Abbeville; one sister, Verna Sonnier and husband Neville of Jeanerette; eleven grandchildren, Venus Soileau and husband Jared, Chante Viator, Roberta Meyers and husband Jason, Jesse Orr, James Viator and wife Tara, Michael Viator and friend Cherie and son Kavel, Dylan Borde, Devin Borde, Taura Faust and husband Casey, Christine DuBois, and Carey DuBois; and eight great grandchildren, A.J., Ramone, Wilson, Kya, Isabelle, Mikey, Sage and Carver.
He was preceded in death by his son, Duane DuBois; one brother, Odeon DuBois; and his parents, Oday Dubois and the former Helen Broussard.

Renes J. Toups strong>
“Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Father-In-Law”
Delcambre – Funeral services will be conducted for Renes Joseph “Beb” Toups, 85, on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Herb Bennerfield officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Vermilion Honor Guard.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 27, 2008 at 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 8:00 AM until services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday at 7:00 PM .
A native of Henry and a resident of Erath, Mr. Toups died on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at 7:03 AM at the Heart Health Hospital in Lafayette . Mr. Toups retired as a Boiler Operator from Diamond Crystal Salt Mine on Jefferson Island . A Veteran of World War II, Mr. Toups served in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 279 in Erath and the V.F.W. Post 4158 of Abbeville where he also served in the Military Honor Guard. Mr. Toups raised cattle, loved gardening and talking to people.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa Belle Lopez Toups of Erath; his sons, Wayne Toups and his wife Jackie of Delcambre and Tommy Toups and his wife Frances of Erath; his grandsons, Barret Toups and his wife Cara of Duson, Eric Toups and his wife Mary of Youngsville and Ryan Toups and his girlfiend Andrea Broussard of Erath; his great granddaughters, Emma Grace Toups and Hanna Toups both of Duson and his brother, Jay Toups of Delcambre. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cestia Toups and Elodie Boudreaux Toups; his brother, Dennis Toups and his sisters, Esther Duhon, Edma David, Rita Dubois and Inez Landry.
Pallbearers will be Wayne, Tommy, Barret, Eric and Ryan Toups and Carroll Lopez.
Honorary pallbearer will be his godchild, Clint Hebert.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Heart Health Hospital in Lafayette .

Dr. ‘Joey’ Allain strong>
Dr. Joseph Michael Allain passed away on Oct. 20, 2008 at his home in Abbeville.
He was 51 years old.
A memorial mass celebrating his life will be held on Oct. 29, 2008 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville.
Joey had a quiet life in Abbeville after practicing medicine for many years as an emergency room physician.
He was quite a collector of antiquities and he had many projects on the drawing board.
Graduating from Vermilion Catholic High where he excelled academically and participated in school athletics, Joey completed his undergraduate studies at USL and graduated from LSU Medical School in Shreveport. Board certified in emergency room medicine, he served as associate director of the Emergency Room Department of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
Dr. Allain is survived by his father Earl W. Allain of Abbeville.
Dr. Allain is predeceased by his mother Mary Alma Landry Allain, his maternal grandparents Felix A. Landry, Sr. and Marguerite Broussard Landry and paternal grandparents M.E. Allain Sr. and Josephine Eashman Allain.
He is additionally survived by his uncle Joseph E. and Jacqueline Allain of San Francisco and several cousins, including Kim and Kimberly Allain of Salem, Oregon, Krystal, Darlene, and Frances of Austin,Texas, Roland “Prof” Broussard of Abbeville and his aunt, Mrs Felix A. Landry Jr. of Baton Rouge.
