1st Full Gospel Church of Roanoke for Rev. Wilson Roy Fontenot Jr.,
71, who died Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the Jennings American Legion
Hospital.
Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
The Rev. Snow Ramour and Rev. Joe Bertrand will conduct the service.
Rev. Fontenot was a native of Jennings and a resident of Iota and
a former resident of Jennings. He was a Preacher for 40 years and
presently was the minister with the 1st Full Gospel Church of Roanoke.
He loved preaching, singing and ministering at the nursing homes and
prisons.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Belle Pousson Fontenot of Iota; five
sons, Joseph Roy Fontenot, Sr. and his wife, Odile of Lake Charles;
Raymond Charles Fontenot and his wife, Linda of Denham Springs; Norman
Dwayne Fontenot and his wife, Sandra of Lake Charles; Jude Wayne Fontenot
and his wife, Helena of Houma; Patrick James Fontenot and his wife,
Trish of Denham Springs; two daughters, Mary Ellen Shaw and her husband,
Wayne of Florida; Cathy Nannette Page and her husband, Mack of Jennings;
his mother, Addie L. Spell of Jennings; one brother, Ira Fontenot
of Iowa; three sisters, Doris Ann Deshotel of Jennings; Edna Mae Faul
of Iowa; Anita Sue Gotte of Evangeline; eighteen grandchildren and
twenty-three great grandchildren.
The family has requested visitation begin Thursday 9:30 a.m. until

CROWLEY A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday,
June 14, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church
for Patty Melancon Faulk, 59, who died Monday, June 12, 2006 in Lafayette.
Fr. Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of Saint Michaels will celebrate
the mass and the committal service at Saint Edmunds Cemetery
in Branch. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday led by Sister
Justina Baker.
Mrs. Faulk was born in Church Point to Elton Melancon and the late
Isabella Savoy Melancon. She married Louby Faulk Jr. on Feb. 24, 1968
and they lived in Crowley all their married life. She was a faithful
member of Saint Michaels, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and
was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Her favorite pastime was sewing and she loved the beach.
She is survived by her husband, Louby Faulk, Jr.; her father, Elton
Melancon of Church Point; two sons, Paul L. Faulk and his wife, Kay
of Eunice and Blane Faulk and his wife, Brittany of Crowley; one daughter,
Sherry Faulk of Crowley; ten grandchildren, Joshua, Hunter, Justin,
Skye, Christopher, Mackenzie, Kadence, Devon, Seth and Blake; and
one brother, Elmer Melancon and his wife, Connie of Church Point.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Isabella Savoy Melancon.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. Tuesday until 10 p.m. and on Wednesday
from 8 a.m. until service time.
Pallbearers will be Randy Falcon, Robby Barousse, Nathan Melancon,
Dustin Melancon, Seth Bullock and Brady Williams.

St. Peters Catholic Church of Gueydan for Richard Donald Donnie
Bonin, 73, who died Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes
Hospital.
Interment will be in Gueydan Cemetery with full military rites.

Mr. Bonin was a native of Gueydan and a resident of Morse. He served
in the Army in the Korean Conflict. He was a Barber for 42 years.
Survivors include his wife, Norma L. Bonin of Morse; three step sons,
Ray Richard of Morse; Mark Joseph Richard of Morse; and Mark Anthony
Richard of Gueydan; four step daughters, Penny Brown of Lake Charles;
Missy Bellard and her husband, Jimmy of Lake Charles; Jenny Petry
and her husband, Clayton of Gueydan; and Sharon Perry of Lake Arthur;
one brother, Dallas Bubby Bonin of Gueydan; one sister,
Ouida Piggy Bonin of California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dallas and Ouida LeBlanc
Bonin; four sisters, Wanda Moone, Lucille Hartwell, Emily Blackman
and Nita Hughes; and two brothers, Gus Bonin and Jerry Bonin.

p.m. at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel for Kathleen Kitty Hand,
87, who died Friday, June 9, 2006 at Lady of the Oaks Hospital in
Baton Rouge.
Brother Roger D. Rushing will officiate for the services. Burial will
be in Rayne Cemetery. Visiting hours will be observed Sunday from
12 p.m. until service time.
Survivors include one son, Pat C. Hand and his wife, Gloria of Denham
Springs; one sister, Irene Daniels of Sand Springs, Okla.; two grandchildren,

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruister C. Hand; and her
parents, Frances Margaret Young and George Washington Burris.
Mrs. Hand was a resident of Crowley up until the last six years. She
dearly loved Crowley and the people that lived here. She was a member
of the Parkerson Avenue Baptist Church. She never moved her letter
to any other church.

9, 2006 at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Vernon
Amedia Breaux, 68, who died June 7, 2006 in Liberty, Texas.
Rev. Bruce Runner will be officiating for the services. The family
is requesting visiting hours to be held Friday from 10 a.m. to the
time of service. Interment will be in Kie Hebert Cemetery in Roberts
Cove.
He is survived by one daughter, Roxanna Marsh of Liberty, Texas; one
son, Vernon Lynn Breaux of Baytown, Texas; three sisters, Anna Mae
Brown, Dela Hoob and Laura Broussard; one brother, Eursin Breaux;
nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Mr. Breaux is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Meche Breaux;
his parents, Amedia and Anna Schexnayder Breaux; one sister, Lillae
Mae Ordogne; one brother, Preston Breaux; and one half-brother, Lawrence
Mouton.
He was a dedicated worker at the Acadia Parish Court House Concession
Stand for twenty-five years. Vernon, loved his job, and the people
that he served.

GUEYDAN Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2006
at 1 p.m. in Vincent Funeral Home honoring the life of Duffy David,
89, who died June 7, 2006 at the Gueydan Memorial Guest Home.
He will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Mitchell
Guidry officiating the services.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Eumea David of Gueydan; one
son, Wesley David and his wife, Lynn of Gueydan; three grandchildren,
Kim David Lepretre of Gueydan, Christine David of Gueydan and Wes
J. David of Abbeville; and four great grandchildren, Katie, Allison,
Christopher and Zachary Lepretre, all of Gueydan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John David and the former
Helian Leleaux.

Bollich Olinger
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Anna Rosalie Bollich
Olinger at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at St. Leo the Great Catholic
Church in Roberts Cove. Mrs. Olinger, 92, died on Saturday, June 3,
2006 at Southwind Nursing Facility. Interment will be at Roberts Cove
Cemetery immediately following the Mass. Father Gary Schexnayder will
officiate at the service. Concelebrating will be Father Avelino Vale,
Father Francis Bourgeois and Father Aaron Melancon. Assisting will
be Deacon Rodless LeLeux.
Mrs. Olinger was a long time resident of the Mowata Community until
her marriage to Joseph A. Olinger. After her marriage, she became
a homemaker and lived the next 48 years in Roberts Cove where she
was an active member of St. Leos Altar Society and the St. Leos
Catholic Daughters of America. Among her many interests was the making
of Rosaries, which she gave to her children, her grandchildren and
her great grandchildren.
At age 80, she became a resident of Crowley, living at Landmark Retirement
Center and then Southwind Nursing Facility for the past three years.
She is survived by two sons, Wayne J. Olinger and his wife, Connie
of Clinton, Miss. and Charles W. Olinger and his wife, Jackie of Lafayette;
five daughters, Karen O. Boyd of Abbeville; Janet O. Landes and her
husband, Joseph of Pearland, Texas; Beverly O. Maloz and her husband,
Louis of Crowley; Charlotte O. LeBlanc and her husband, Ken of Orange,
Texas and Mary O. Landry and her husband, Phil of Lafayette; nine
granddaughters and 10 grandsons; 17 great-granddaughters and seven
great-grandsons; one sister, Hilda Robichaux and numerous nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Olinger; her parents,
William Bollich Sr. and Regina Hensgens Bollich; five sisters, Regina
Bollich, Marie B. Zaunbrecher, Helen B. Robichaux, Leona B. Zaunbrecher
and Rose B. Leonards; four brothers, William Bollich Jr., Pete Bollich,
Joseph Bollich and Nicholas Bollich; 10 nephews, Father Ronald Bollich
of the Diocese of Beaumont, Stanley Bollich, Robert Dischler, Edmond
Leonards, Ferdinand Leonards, Joseph Leonards, Leo Leonards, Rheinoldt
Leonards, Joseph Olinger and Glenn Zaunbrecher; six nieces: Flavia
Gossen, Henrietta Leonards Gayle, Sr. Bernadine Leonards, Norma Zaunbrecher
Prevost, Winnie Rose Bollich Price and Barbara Dischler Reed.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Ellis "Joey" Boyd, Ryan
Broussard, Scott Hutslar, Joey Maloz, Jason Olinger and Nicholas Olinger.

Paris of Dallas; two brothers, Luma and Dalton Simon both of Winnie,
Texas; three sisters, Helen Royer of Winnie, Texas, Shirley Tatford
of New Iberia and Marylene Williams of Mont Belvieu, Texas; seven
step-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren; numerous nieces
and nephews including Mrs. Chester (Ida) Guidry of Crowley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley J. Gremillion, founder
and owner of Gremillions Drug Store in Crowley.
Mrs. Gremillion was a lifelong resident of Crowley and enjoyed cooking
special meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed working in her
yard until her illness limited her activities.
Pallbearers will be Leander Tatford, Don Royer, Larry Simon, Jody
Simon, Ulysse Simon and Scott Sibley. Honorary pallbearers will be
Dalton Simon and Luma Simon.

June 6, 2007 at 11 a.m. at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Meridian,
Mississippi for Joseph Michael Stemplewski, 88, who died Friday, June
2, 2006 Southwind Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Crowley.
The family requests visiting be observed Tuesday from 10 a.m. to service
time at St. Patricks Catholic Church. Burial will be in Forest
Lawn Cemetery in Meridian.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-four years, Hazel Massey Stemplewski
of Crowley; two sons, Joseph F. Stemplewski and his wife, Linda of
Iota, Steve Albert of New York; and two grandchildren, Gretchen M.
and Joshua M. Stemplewski, both of Iota.
Mr. Stemplewski was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and
Marie Catherine B. Stemplewski; one brother and three sisters.
He served his country during World War II having achieved the rank
of Staff Sergeant. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father,
and grandfather and will be sadly missed.

Linda Marie Hoffpauir, 59, died Monday, June 5, 2006 at American

of Crowley.

at Duhon Funeral Home Chapel for Dustin James Richard, 21, who died
Thursday, June 1, 2006 at his residence.
Burial was in St. Joseph #2 Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Dayton and Kaiden Richard, both of Rayne;
his mother, Nan Richard of Rayne; his father, Ricky Richard of Abbeville;
one brother, Chad Richard of Rayne; one sister, Keesha Campbell and
her husband, Coleman of Lafayette; one half-brother, Travis Richard
of Carencro; two nieces, Alexis and Bailey Campbell of Lafayette;
and his maternal grandparents, Ray and Nan Arceneaux of Rayne.
Mr. Richard was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Irvin
and Estell Richard and his maternal grandfather, James Hodges.
He graduated from Rayne High School. When he was in eighth grade his
was inducted into Whos Who of America.

Richard, Dale Hodges and Mike Prejean. Honorary Pallbearers were Ricky
Richard and Travis Richard.

Friday, June 2, 2006 at Crowley Rehab Hospital.

Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas K. and Hazel

five sisters, Melissa McNeel, Marine Spell, Barbara Bender, Margie
Lejeune, Ivy Lee Spell; and one brother, Jarrow Snook
Spell.
Mrs. Morgan was a member of Northside Assembly of God Church, was
a Christian woman who loved to attend church. She was a loving wife,
mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to sew and crochet
for her family.
