Our hearts and lives are shattered while we endure this unimaginable loss. The void he has left will never be replaced in our hearts. Benji was a true gentleman, polite, respectful and chivalrous in an age when those qualities are rare to find. He was a loyal, honorable man of great faith who lived out his faith on a daily basis and helped and encouraged others to find their own spiritual path and peace.
He had a charming, witty, lively personality that was genuine and unique and left a lasting impression on all he encountered. But mostly he was full of love and shared his love and affection openly and without reserve.
Benji’s devotion, loyalty and connection with his wife and children was tremendous and the relationships that he cherished and shared with his family and friends were true, deep and unwavering.
We consider ourselves fortunate to have known and loved him and will hold on fiercely to his memory but it was not enough time. We are clinging to our faith and hope in the promise of being reunited one day with our husband, father and friend, Benji.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda Trahan Vienne of Abbeville; a 23-year-old son, Ty Parrish Hoffpauir of Crowley; daughters, Parrish Christian Vienne - age 15, Ellis Laine Vienne - age 14, and Evann Bradleigh Vienne - age 4; parents, Mona and Keith Vienne of Rayne; brother, Kasey Vienne and wife Lezette of Rayne; sister, Jennifer Menard and husband Jacob of Rayne; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Michael and Rose Anna Trahan of Abbeville; and Godparents, Alan Breaux and Josette Baker.
