Ernest Edward LeLeu
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Aug. 30, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Crowley for Ernest Edward LeLeu, 86, who died Monday, Aug. 25, 2014. at noon in Baker.
Mr. LeLeu was a native of Vermilion Parish, a former resident of Crowley and resident of Baker since 1975. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served his country in World War II. He worked many years with Orkin and retired from Mr. B’s Pest Control in Baker.
Fr. Gary Schexnider, pastor of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Friday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited Friday at 6:30 p.m. by Deacon Dan Didier. Burial will be in Abshire Cemetery.
Mr. LeLeu is survived by his wife of 66 years, Clarise Landry LeLeu of Baker; two daughters, Cheryl L. Napier and husband Steve of Zachary and Catherine L. Cook and husband Greg of Baker; two sons, Michael LeLeu and wife Suzette of Crowley and Ernest Paul LeLeu and wife Beverly of Prairieville; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Numa and Eliza Weekly LeLeu; and three brothers, Lovelace, Douglas and Henry LeLeu.
