Fredrick “Fred” Ritter
Funeral services for Fredrick “Fred” Ritter, 70, were held in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to remember his life. He was also buried with military honors.
Fredrick Ritter, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was a native of Iota and a son of the late Hubert and Rose Ritter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma in 2005; a brother, Ray Johnson; and a daughter-in-law, Mary Katherine Ritter.
Mr. Ritter is survived by his sons, Randy Ritter of Shelbyville, Tennessee, Scott Ritter and his wife, Gina, of Lascassas, Tennessee, and Chad Ritter and his wife, Colleen, of Hermitage, Tennessee; grandchildren, Dylan, Caitlyn, Jessica, Ashley, Hunter and Faith Ritter; brothers, Kenneth Ritter of Nederland, Texas, Al Ritter of Crowley and Lionel Ritter of Iota.
Mr. Ritter was a member of the Catholic faith and attended church at the Sisters of Mercy Convent in Donelson, Tennessee. He was a United States Air Force veteran and owner of Nashville Marble Co. and Ritter Properties. He was a man of many talents in business and in life. He was straight forward, honest and you always knew where you stood. He valued honesty, integrity and was a genuine friend to those in all walks of life.
