Ivy Joseph Hollier
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home, LLC Chapel in Rayne for Ivy Joseph Hollier, Sr.62, who passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 5:12 p.m. at the American Legion Hospital in Crowley.
Fr. Garrett Savoie, Associate Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church will be the Celebrant for the services.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. then Monday, March 17, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday at 6:30 in the evening all at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Church New Cemetery in Rayne.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Fabacher Hollier of Rayne; his second wife, Elvina Hollier of Duson; five sons, Ivy and wife, Mona Hollier, Jr. of Rayne, Jason and wife, Melissa LeBlanc of Lafayette, Tommy and wife, April Credeur of Vatican, Todd Hollier of Lafayette and Kelly and wife, Dayna Hollier of Duson; five daughters, Angelle and husband, Robert Navarre, Jr. of Crowley, Tracey and husband, Mark Gamache of Lafayette, Angelina Hollier of Duson, Nicole Hollier of Crowley and Johanna Hollier of Duson; one step son, Jerry Fabacher, Jr. of Breaux Bridge; three step daughters, Chris and husband, Walter Kilgore of Butte La Rose, Pam and husband, Brian Cormier of Carencro and Sandy and husband Alton LeBlanc of Duson; four sisters, Connie Matthews of Duson, Lena Parker of Crowley, Shirley Arabie of Sulphur and Geraldine Hollier of Rayne; six brothers, Sexton Hollier of Eunice, Gardon Ray Hollier of Breaux Bridge, Emery Hollier of Rayne, Eulix Hollier of Higginbotham, Russell Hollier of Rayne and Gene Hollier of Scott; forty nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ivy was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Angelina D. Hollier; two brothers, Harry Hollier and Joseph Hollier and first wife, Cecile Richard.
