Kathleen Marie Thevis Langlinais
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 26, at 11 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata for Kathleen Marie Thevis Langlinais, 67, who died Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 5:45 a.m. at Herman Memorial Hospital-Southwest in Houston.
She was a native of Mowata and lifelong resident of Crowley. She retired from Ross Head Start after 34 years. She worked part-time with Walmart in Crowley for 23 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to everyone who crossed her path.
Fr. Joseph Tran, pastor of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Friday from noon to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home by Deacon Rodless Leleux.
Kathleen is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Epps and her husband Van of Kingwood, Texas, and Rebecca Guidry and her husband Ramsey of Morse; three sisters, Sandra Myatt and her husband Tom of Ponca City, Okla., Antoinette Coignard and her husband Richard of Mowata and Marian Thevis of Mowata; four brothers, Robert Thevis and his wife Sadie of Simmesport, Michael Thevis and his wife Glenda of Orange, Texas, Stephen Thevis of Mowata and Patrick Thevis and his companion Carolyn Schnepal of Mowata; three grandchildren, Ryan and Gabby Epps, Zoe’ Guidry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Martha Burton Thevis; her maternal grandparents, H. D. and Josephine Schneider Burton; her paternal grandparents, P. J. and Maria Cramer Thevis; numerous aunts and uncles.
