Kenny Paul Bellon
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 2, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Iota for Kenny Paul Bellon, 84, who died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at 9:45 p.m. at Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jennings.
Mr. Bellon was a native of Basile and lifelong resident of Iota. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Fr. Jude Thierry, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mr. Bellon is survived by four sons, Wendel Bellon of Lafayette, Shelby Bellon and wife Vickie of Iota, James Bellon of Iota and Shane Bellon of Iota; one daughter-in-law, Annette L. Bellon of Iota; four grandchildren, Brett Bellon and wife Kortnie, Megan Bellon and fiancé Tony Menard, Kyler Bellon and Brianne Bellon; and one great-grandson, Grant Bellon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Mae LeJeune Bellon; son, Steve Bellon; his parents, Seaviou and Lucille Young Bellon; two sisters, Ella Mae Manuel and Mary Bellon; and two brothers, John Baptist and Anason Bellon.
