Oscar St. Julien
RAYNE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 5, at 10 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church for Oscar St. Julien Sr., 91, who passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Heart Hospital of Lafayette.
Interment will be in Our Mother of Mercy Cemetery.
Oscar St. Julien was a longtime resident of Rayne. He was a proud World War II veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 569 in Rayne, where he served as Commander for several years.
He is survived by his son, Oscar St. Julien, Jr. of Rayne; two grandchildren, Crystal St. Julien and Oscar St. Julien III, both of Lafayette; three great grandchildren, Ty’lon St. Julien, India St. Julien and McKenzie St. Julien, all of Lafayette; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. St. Julien was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mildred St. Julien; his parents, Dema and Rose St. Julien; two brothers, Arthur St. Julien and Louis St. Julien; and one sister, Pearl St. Julien.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, at Syrie Funeral Home from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. with a rosary being recited at 9 a.m.
