Pantry Shower honors Fontenot, Farmer engagement
CROWLEY - A bridal/pantry shower was given in honor of the upcoming marriage of Desiré Michelle Fontenot and Dustin Cole Farmer who plan to marry June 4 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. At 1 p.m., Father Gary Schexnayder will officiate the ceremony.
The shower was held at G&H Kitchen in Crowley on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 1 p.m.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mitchell and Rhonda Fontenot of Midland. Willard Henry and the late Patty Henry of Midland are her maternal grandparents. Her paternal grandparents are Lloyd Fontenot and the late Bertha Fontenot of Mermentau.
The prospective groom is the son of James and Nona Farmer of Trout. His maternal grandparents are the late Herbert and Peggy Rosier and his paternal grandparents are the late Clyde and Rita Farmer, all of Trout.
The 40 guests were hosted by Laci LeBlanc, Morgan Daigle, Lonore LeBlanc, Delonda Henry, Paulette Cormier, Lucy Henry, Shavaun Miller, Kourie Martin, Marcella Fontenot, Darla Henry, Mervina Newman and Brenda Martin.
In following tradition, the knife used to cut the butter cream iced, creme cheese filled cake was the same knife used to cut the cake of the bride’s parents’ wedding cake 30 years ago.
