CROWLEY - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Immaculate Heart of Mary for Patrick Monceaux, 49, who died at 7:03 a.m., Monday, October 25, 2010 in Crowley.
Fr. Matthew Higginbotham will celebrate the Mass and the committal services in Abshire Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Wednesday by the Ladies Altar Society.
The family is requesting visiting hours be held Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time.
Patrick was born May 27, 1961 in Crowley; He was a 1979 alumni Crowley High School. He worked in the oilfield all of his adult life until he was disabled. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and he also enjoyed bowling. He was a loving father and grandfather and was always willing to help others.
Mr. Monceaux is survived by his father, Gilbert Monceaux of Crowley; his wife, Lisa Istre Monceaux of Crowley; two daughters, Hannah Monceaux and Brooklyn Monceaux, both of Crowley; one brother, Glen Monceaux and his wife Debbie of Crowley; two step-daughters, Chasity Romero and Sophia Romero, both of Crowley; two grandsons Hylan Laviolette and Jaydon Navarre; two nieces Tiffany Cradeur and husband Jeremy, and his godchild Ashley Monceaux; and three great-nieces Paige Monceaux, Haylie Kibodeaux and Emma Cradeur.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Lona Mae Leblanc Monceaux, and two brothers, Julius Ray Monceaux and Ronald Wayne Monceaux.
