Pink Ladies donate to hospital

The regular monthly meeting of the Pink Lady Board was held Monday, November 3 at 9 a.m. in the Conference Room of the American Legion Hospital.

After calling the meeting to order, President Yvonne Menard asked Elaine Robinson to lead the ladies in the Auxiliary Pledge and Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Following this, Secretary Sylvia Discher called the roll and read the minutes of the October meeting.

Georgie Petitjean read and explained the items in the treasure’s report.

A thank you note from Ethel Thibodeaux was read by the president.

Ms. Menard thanked Mary Briley for acquiring the speaker for the Fall Luncheon and commented about what a good presentation Ms. Joy Fragola gave talking about the work of the Southern Eye Bank.

Mary Briley reported that Roberta Guidry has been trained and is working on Monday afternoons.

Ms. Menard also thanked Franki Johnson and Helen Zaunbrecher for their work in preparing for the Fall Luncheon. The door prizes of the floral centerpieces were especially beautiful.

Nettie Romero reported that the Gift Shop is well stocked and the merchandise is selling well.

Ethel Thibodeaux and Yvonne Menard will meet soon to revise the Calling Committee list to insure that no one is missed when calls are made.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
