Pink Ladies enjoy Christmas Luncheon

On December 1, the Pink Ladies Board held its regular monthly meeting, followed by a Dutch treat luncheon at Fezzo’s Restaurant.

President Yvonne Menard called

the meeting to order and asked Mary Briley to lead the group in the Auxiliary Pledge and Prayer as well as the Pledge of Allegiance. Secretary Sylvia Dischler called the roll and read the minutes of the November meeting. Treasurer Georgie Petitjean presented the teacher’s report.

Ms. Menard read a note from Barbara Reggie thanking the Pink Ladies for the kind words of sympathy in her time of grief. A sympathy card was sent by the secretary by Dean Gaspard upon the death of her son.

Mary Briley reported that Loraine Franke has been trained and is working on Wednesday afternoons.

Ms. Menard thanked the hospitality committee, Helen Zaunbrecher and Frankie Johnson for making the needed arrangements for the luncheon at Fezzo’s.

Plans to revise the calling committee lists were tabled until the January meeting.

Ethel Thibodeaux and Yvonne Menard have met and will present their ideas at that time and will take suggestions form the other board members.

Members were reminded to pick up their Chamber Cash at the hospital.

A delicious meal was enjoyed by the Board and home made desserts were exchanged before leaving.

The next scheduled meeting will be January 5, 2009, in the conference room at American Legion Hospital in Crowley.
