Pink Ladies review hospital duties

CROWLEY - The Pink Lady board held its regular monthly meeting on August 5 in the conference room of the American Legion Hospital

During the meeting, the members were reminded of their six general areas of duty:

– Gift shop work;

– Delivery of coffee and juice to patients and their visitors;

– Delivery of newspapers;

– Delivery of flowers;

– Delivery of food trays; and

– Assistance of patients and visitors at the Information desk.

They were also reminded that serving coffee to the patients takes priority over working in the gift shop.

President Gloria LeBlanc presided, and the volunteer pledge and prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance were led by Leisa Thibodeaux. Secretary Roberta Sonnier read the minutes and the treasurer, Nettie Romero, gave the financial report.

The board discussed the dates of future meetings. Of particular interest will be the next general meeting and luncheon, which will be held at the Rice Palace on Oct. 2.

It was reported that 15 Pink Ladies attended the Rosary recited at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home for one of their fellow members, Rose Trouille, who recently passed away.

Evelyn Barousse and Nettie Romero were appointed to purchase some artificial plants to be placed in the foyer of the hospital.

The next board meeting will be held on Sept. 2 in the hospital conference room at 9 a.m.
