Pink Lady board meeting held February 2
The monthly meeting of the Pink Ladies was held in the conference room of the American Legion Hospital on February 2, 2009.
President Yvonne Menard called
the meeting to order and asked Chaplain Elaine Robinson to lead the group in the auxiliary prayer and Pledge as well as the Pledge of Allegiance.
Following this, Sylvia Dischler called roll and read minutes of the January meeting. The treasure’s report was presented by Georgie Petitjean.
After the reading of the treasure’s report, Ms. Menard reminded the members that scholarships will be presented at the Awards Day program of each Acadia Parish high school.
Also, a check for $11,000 will be presented by the Auxiliary to the hospital for the purchase of bedside tables for patient’s rooms.
Since this is the Crowley Pink Ladies 50th anniversary, a committee was named to make suggestions for the May General Meeting.
Members of the committee are Yvonne Menard, Mary Briley, Georgie Petitjean and Helen Zaunbrecher.
Helen Zaunbrecher will also be serving as the chairman of the nominating committee.
Sylvia Dischler sent get well cards to Sylvia Gaudet and Anna Mae Leger in the past month.
Approved for membership is Liz Leger sponsored by Audrey Leger.
In order to judge the actual cost of balloons, ribbon and helium, a tally of the number of balloons will have to be raised.
Yvonne Menard wanted to express the Auxiliary’s appreciation for the fine job that the janitorial staff is doing in keeping the Gift Shop clean.
The meeting was adjourned, and the next meeting will be March 2, 2009.
