Pointsettia sale fund pediatric hospice
How would you like the opportunity to purchase Poinsettias while supporting a local non-profit pediatric program?
HeartPrints is a pediatric program funded by grants from Hospice Foundation of Acadiana, which was created to fund services provided by Hospice of Acadiana, Inc.
Beautiful red poinsettias come in two sizes with green foil pot covers. The sale will run December 1-3, with pre-order deadline November 18. This is the first poinsettia sale for the purpose of raising funds for the HeartPrints program, and also to raise community awareness of this unique program.
HeartPrints is not a traditional hospice program. Any child within a 9-parish service area up to age 19 who is living with a life-limiting or terminal condition is eligible for the program. HeartPrints patients continue to see their pediatricians or specialists and may continue with curative treatments. What HeartPrints does is provide a link to supportive services and other community resources for the children and their families.
Key areas of support are:
Supplemental education of patients and family members;
Emotional and spiritual support for parents, siblings, and other family members and Case management (i.e., coordination of referrals to community resources).
All services are offered at no charge to the patients and their families.
Buyers may fax in an order (266-5565) and have hospice volunteer pick up payment upon delivery, or order by e-mail; send a message to Executive Director Becky A. Credeur at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the hospice website at www.hfacadiana.com.. To order by phone, call Charlene at 237-1332 ext. 1132.
Whether poinsettias are ordered personally, office or gift to others, know you are helping support local children and their families.
Note: supplies are limited, so order before the Nov. 18 deadline.
