Police Jury sets special meeting, committee meetings on Tuesday
CROWLEY - Members of the Acadia Parish Police Jury will meet in special session at 6 p.m. Tuesday to consider declaring Friday, July 5, a holiday.
Parish government will be closed Thursday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.
Following the special meeting, five of the jury’s committees will meet in regular session beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The Airport Committee will meet first to discuss plowing property at LeGros Memorial Airport.
The Building and Grounds Committee will consider replacement of windows at the Acadia Parish Courthouse.
The ongoing mosquito control program will be discussed during the Mosquito Control Committee meeting.
Finally, the jury’s Finance Committee will consider removal of trees at the Acadia Rice Arena and the leasing of mineral acreage to Navitas Resources.
The special meeting at 6 and the committee meetings beginning at 6:30 p.m. are open to the general public.
All meetings will be held in the third-floor meeting room in the courthouse in Crowley.
