An investigation into an armed robbery at the Y-Not Stop in February continues, and now, the store-owner is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office continues to gather information in this case, and the store owner of the Y-Not Stop, located at the intersection of state highways 10 and 13, is offering a $500 cash reward to help officers gather more information.
The robbery occurred Wednesday, February 18, when a white male entered the store and pointed a small knife toward the clerk and demanded a specific sum of money. The clerk gave him the money and he fled the area on foot.
The man is described as approximately five-feet, six-inches, 150 pounds with brown eyes and a mustache. He was wearing a dark-colored shirt with a circular emblem on the front of it.
If anyone has any information that may assist authorities, they are asked to call 363-2161 and speak to a detective. All callers will remain anonymous, according to Sheriff Eddie Soileau.
