RHS cracks down on cell phone use
Rayville High School will be cracking down on cell phone use.
RHS principal Dr. Georgia Ineichen announced that for the if a student’s cell phone or other electronic device is confiscated at school, they will have to pay a storage fee to get the device back at the end of the day.
The fee will be $10 for a first offense, $15 for a second, $20 for a third, $25 for a fourth offence and $30 for a fifth offense.
Ineichen said the policy has been put in place to keep a parent from having to leave work to pick up a phone and will prevent the school from having to keep the phone until the last day of school.
The student will be given a receipt for the phone and RHS will not be responsible for damage or loss of the contraband device, she said.
