Roger M. Brown

CROWLEY – A former pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Crowley, La., the Reverend Roger M. Brown, died June 18, 2009 in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas after a short illness.

The memorial service for Reverend Brown will be on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at The First Presbyterian Church at 3 p.m.

Reverend Brown was born and reared in the Chicago, Illinois area. He was called into the ministry in the mid-1990’s. Also, around that same time he met and married the love of his life, Bettye Welch. He served the Presbyterian Church from 1999-2006. He then retired and moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.

Reverend Brown is survived by one daughter, Jennifer and her husband Scotty Cummings; two sisters, Louise Miller and Nancy Whipple; one brother, Warren Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Warren and Dorothy Brown; and his wife, Mrs. Bettye Brown.
