CROWLEY – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, January 8, 2008 at 1 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Rowland C. “Pete” Regan, 90, who died Tuesday, January 6, 2008 at American Legion Hospital in Crowley.
Mr. Regan was a native of Egan and a resident of Crowley at the time of his death. He served his country in the US Army during World War II. He retired as Postmaster of the Egan Post Office after twenty years of service. Before his service with the US Postal Service he was a farmer and rice inspector.
Fr. Gary Schexnayder, Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 8 a.m. to service time. A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
He is survived by one daughter, Diana K. Callahan Nance and her husband Robert of Corvallis, OR; two sons, Arnold G. Regan and his wife Jeanne of Montgomery, AL, Stan Regan and his wife Brenda of Church Point; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and companion Elvie Hayes of Crowley.
Mr. Regan was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Guillot Regan; his parents, Cornelius and Olympe Cart Regan; one brother, Warren Regan; three sisters, Lillian Oliver, Verbie Truax and Evie Fisher.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Cody Regan, Glenn Regan, John Callahan, and his children, Diana, Arnold, and Stan.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or American Cancer Society.
