CROWLEY – Funeral services were held Monday, September 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Northside Assembly of God in Crowley for Ruth Spell, 91, of Indian Bayou who passed away Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Landmark Nursing Home in Lake Charles.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie and husband, Darwin “Andy” Anderson of Lake Charles; one son-in-law, Harold Turk, of Lake Charles; one brother, Frank Spell, Jr. of Indian Bayou; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, and five step-grandchildren.
Ms. Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, Jarrow “Snook” Spell, of Indian Bayou; one daughter, Belba Turk, of Vidor, Texas; and three sisters and six brothers.
Visitation took place Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. and continued on Monday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
Burial was held in the Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery in Indian Bayou under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley.
