CROWLEY – Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Northside Assembly of God Church in Crowley for Ruth Spell, 84, who passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at American Legion Hospital.
Rev. Lloyd Singley, pastor of Northside Assembly of God Church will be officiating for the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Mrs. Spell, a resident of Crowley, was the daughter of the late Oran Hilliard and the former Eva Hanks. She was a longtime member of Northside Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her son, Tommy Spell of Crowley; one grandson, Sean Spell and his fiancé, Sierrah Hostetler of Lake Charles; one great granddaughter, Chloé Spell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas K. “Kooman” Spell, Jr.; one sister, Betty Lou Hilliard and her step-father, Lester Foreman.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Duhon Funeral Home in Crowley on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8:00 am until 10:30 am.
