Schmid, Faulk joined in holy matrimony
EVANGELINE - Heidi Louise Schmid and Joshua Daniel Faulk, both of Crowley, were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony during an intimate ceremony before a small gathering of family and friends on October 19, 2012. Father David Broussard officiated the 6:30 p.m. ceremony at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Evangeline.
The bride is the daughter of Kurt and Jeanne Schmid of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Louis Mayeux of Crowley and the late Charlotte Chambers Mayeux, and Walter Schmid Jr. and his wife June of Lafayette and the late Rose Marie Dorr Schmid.
Heidi graduated from Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in 2008. She is currently employed by Sterling Wellness Solutions in Crowley while also attending Louisiana State University at Eunice, where she is majoring in business management.
The groom is the son of Joel and Judy Faulk of Crowley. His grandparents are Faye Hill of Plano, Tex. and the late Jack Hill, the late Van and Harriet Felber and the late Dennis Faulk.
Joshua is a 2004 graduate of Crowley High School and served in the United States Navy for six years, during which time he was stationed in Seattle, Wash. He presently works at Moss Pointe Apartments in Crowley, and is also an aspiring musician and a liberal arts major at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Heidi was escorted by her father and attended by her friend Tiffany Vidrine as bridesmaid.
Joseph Hornsby, friend of the groom, served as groomsman.
Music for the nuptials was provided by Naomi Broussard, vocalist and pianist. Christopher Myers, friend of the bride and groom, read selected Scriptures.
Following the ceremony, the newlywed couple was honored at a relaxed reception hosted by the bride’s parents at their Crowley home.
Following a wedding trip to Tennessee, Heidi and Joshua will reside in Crowley.
