Searcj warants results in drug arrests/

Rayne Chief of Police Carroll Stelly announced that his officers have arrested two suspects on drug charges as a result of a compliant of suspicious drug activity in the 900 block of North Reynolds.

Rayne Officers investigated the complaint and a search warrant was issued and on Thursday, Jan. 29, officers of the criminal interdiction unit, criminal investigation and patrol divisions served the search warrant at 907 Reynolds.

Ceasar “Peanut” Wilson, B/M, Dob 8/16/1980, 28 years of age, 907 Reynolds Rayne was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana and a parole violation.

Courtney Wilson, B/M, 33 Years of Age, Dob 11/17/1975, 709 Bailey Avenue, Rayne. Wilson was arrested and charged with Possession with the intent to Distribute Schedule II Narcotics, a second count of Possession with the Intent to Distribute Schedule II, Possession of Schedule I Narcotics, Battery on a Police Officer and Resisting an Officer. The aggregate bond on Washington was set at $69,000.

Chief Stelly reported a large amount of powder cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana was seized during the raid.

Both suspects were booked in the Rayne City Jail.
