Sexual Assault Center has Eunice site
The St. Landry/Evangeline Sexual Assault Center announced that it will be working in collaboration with the United Community Health Center at 450 Moosa Boulevard, Suite E in attempt to provide services for victims of sexual assault.
Yancy Fontenot, director of The United Community Health Center, offered S.L.E.S.A.C. office space to see clients who otherwise could not go to the main office in Opelousas because of transportation problems.
According to the Assault Center Director, Laura Balthazar, anyone wishing to contact the office for services can call 585-4673. The only eligibility is that the client must be five (5) years of age prior to beginning individual therapy. Clients will be seen on Thursdays in Eunice. Both agencies are funded through United Way.
