Sheriff’s office looking for hit-and-run driver

The Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating the person and or vehicle responsible in a hit and run which left one female injured.

Sheriff Mike Couvillon says that on Feb. 7 at approximately 6:30 p.m. a female pedestrian and two male pedestrians were standing outside of their vehicle on Dudley Rd. north of Erath, when the female was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

Sheriff Couvillon says that the description of the vehicle is unclear; however, witnesses say that the vehicle may be a dark colored passenger car (possibly Mitsubishi Galant) which may have possible damage to the front and side of vehicle from the impact.
