Shooting for a cure

Cajun Elite Shooting Complex in Evangeline will be the site of a sporting clay shoot on December 20, 2008 to benefit Stephen Prevost and his battle with cancer.

The “Shooting for a Cure” event will consist of teams with four shooters each. Entry fee is $100 a man or $400 a team.

One of the event organizers, Michael Hensgens said, “This event is being put on by friends and family of Stephen Prevost. All proceeds of the event will go to the Prevost family to help pay for treatment in Stephen’s battle with cancer.” Prevost is a resident and native of Rayne and graduated from Notre Dame High School.

If unable to attend or shoot, individuals and companies can also purchase sponsorships in amounts that range from $250 to $10,000. These sponsorships can be mailed to Cure Stephen Prevost Fund at P.O. Box 146, Rayne, La., 70578.
