Not one, but two Rayne High football players were named to the Louisiana Football Coaches Association 2013 Coaches All-State Selections.

Offensive lineman Matt Doré was named during first team selections, while teammate Trent Duhon was named during second team picks.

Doré, who recently competed in the the East-West All-Star Football Game hosted by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association, in conjunction with the Louisiana High School Coaches Association (LHSCA) and the Louisiana Football Coaches Association (LFCA). The prestigious event was held Shreveport’s Independence Stadium in January.

Doré was also named among offensive linemen of the 2013-2014 4-4A All-District Team, in addition to this year’s All-Parish squad with an average of six tackles per game for the Wolves during the 2013 season.

Duhon, a two-way leader for the Wolves this season, was named in second team honors for his offensive efforts. Duhon led Acadia Parish in rushing after racking up 1,389 yards and 21 touchdowns on 183 carries. He also had eight receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns.

Duhon was also named offensive MVP of both District 4-4A and All-Acadia Parish picks.

For the 2013 season, the Wolves fell just short to North DeSoto in the playoffs and completed play with an 8-2 record.
