Rayne High Lady Wolves awarded

Named To Volleyball All-District Team

 

With a trip to the State Volleyball Tournament under their belt, a number of Lady Wolves were named to the 2013-14 District 3 Division III All-District Team.

Three Rayne High players were named among first team honorees, senior Mia Guidry and sophomores Katie Benoit and Layni Boudreaux.

Guidry led Rayne assists with an average of 13 sets per game for her senior campaign. She also averaged 3 digs and 2 aces.

Boudreaux was a double-threat this year as she turned in 11 sets and five kills per game for the Lady Wolves.

Benoit was a primary spiker for Rayne averaging 6 kills in addition to 3 aces on the season.

Named on second team from Rayne High were three hitters, seniors Taylor Arceneaux and Niesha Domingue, and sophomore Charlesha Dugas.

Arceneaux and Domingue both averaged five kills per game on the season, in addition to a block and 2 aces.

Dugas averaged just under 6 hits per game along with a block and dig.

Lady Wolves named among honorable selections were seniors Haley Comeaux, Sidney Fontenot and Mary Peltier.
