Gilbert Tevy Memorial Diamond Classic kicks off Thursday

CROWLEY – The Crowley Gents will host their annual CHS Gilbert Tevy Memorial Diamond Class beginning today with two games on tap at Miller Stadium.
The Iota Bulldogs will kick things off with a 4 p.m. contest against St. Edmund while the Gents will take on cross-town rival Northside Christian at 6:15.
Iota is in search of its first victory of the season after dropping four straight games while St. Edmund enters with a record of 1-2.
The Gents (1-2) are coming off a 10-0 victory over Glenmora while Northside Christian will be playing its first game of the season.
Friday’s action gets underway at 4 p.m. with Westminster (0-3) taking on Iota. The Gents will once again play in the nightcap (at 6:15) against Simpson (1-4).
The final day of action is Saturday with five games slated. St. Edmund and Simpson will square off at 9 a.m. followed by a contest between Crowley and Westminster at 11:15 a.m. Northside and Iota will face off at 1:30 p.m. and Simpson will play Westminster at 3:45 p.m. Northside will close out the tournament with a 6 p.m. contest against St. Edmund.
