Notre Dame upends Kaplan

CROWLEY – The Notre Dame Pios improved to 15-17 overall and 4-4 in District 6-3A play Thursday with a 9-2 victory over Kaplan Thursday at Miller Stadium.
Sam Hoffpauir picked up the victory on the mound after scattering six hits and walking two. He struck out six in seven innings of work.
The Pios gave him more than enough run support by collecting 12 hits.
Jacob Mooney, Brad Stoma, Jacques Thibodeaux and Kyle Habetz each had two hits. Mooney also had a double and three RBI; Stoma doubled and drove in one run; Thibodeaux had an RBI and Habetz had a double.
Gavin Bourgeois added a solo home run and Jeff Daigle had a single and two RBI.
