Rayne Rec All-Star action begins
BRONCO ALL-STARS TAKE CHAMPIONSHIP - The Bronco Rivals 11-12 All-Star Team of the 2014 Rayne Recreation Summer League traveled to Judice over the weekend where they captured the championship trophy. All-star action for the 2014 Rayne Recreation Summer League is up and running as all-star teams are participating in warm-up tournaments throughout the area.
During weekend action, the following results have been reported from Rayne all-star teams:
Boys’ all-star teams were split at Judice and Crowley for warmup tournaments as follows:
Pinto Bombers - were 2-2 in action as they traveled to Crowley.
Pinto Frog Sox - traveled to Judice where they posted a 3-1 slate.
Mustang Shockers - posted a 3-1 slate as they traveled to Crowley.
Mustang Outlaws - traveled to Judice where they brought home a first place finish with a 4-0 tally.
Bronco Rivals - collected four wins for a first place finish at the Juice Tournament.
All boys’ teams (except Bronco league) will remain home this weekend when they will participate in the Rayne Recreation Department Tournament.
Girls’ all-star teams remained in Rayne as the Rayne Recreation Department hosted a weekend tournament. Local team action included:
Pinto Lightning - defeated all opponents and won first place in their age division.
Mustang Rebels - placed 1-1 in pool play and 1-2 in tournament action.
Bronco Rippers - following pool play fell to Kaplan and Crowley in tournament games.
All girls’ teams will travel to Crowley this weekend for another warmup tournament prior to their sectional tournament slated the weekend of June 28th in Erath.
