Rayne Rec All-Star teams in tournament action

MUSTANG OUTLAWS ALL-STARS TAKE FIRST - The Mustang Outlaws 9-10 All-Star Team of the 2014 Rayne Recreation Summer League won the Frog City Tune-Up Tournament held at Gossen Park over the weekend. They also traveled to Judice last weekend where they captured first place. All-star action for the 2014 Rayne Recreation Summer League continued with weekend tournaments held in Rayne and Crowley.

Girls’ teams participated in a warm-up tournament held in Crowley, while boys’ teams remained home for the Frog City Tune-Up Tournament played at Gossen Memorial Park.

During weekend action, the following results have been reported from Rayne boys’ all-star teams:

Pinto Frog Sox - placed third with a 3-1 slate in the Rayne Tournament.

Pinto Bombers - were 1-3 in action as they participated in the Rayne Tournament.

Mustang Shockers - posted a second lace finish in the Rayne Tournament.

Mustang Outlaws - claimed top honors with a first place finish in the Rayne Tournament.

All boys’ teams will travel to Crowley for another warm-up tournament as they prepare for next week’s sectional tournaments.

Girls’ all-star action included:

Pinto Lightning - placed second in their age division in the Crowley Tournament.

Mustang Rebels - placed 1-1 in pool play and 1-2 in Crowley tournament action.

Bronco Rippers - following pool play, finished the Crowley Tournament at 2-2 overall.

All girls’ teams will travel to Erath this weekend for their sectional tournament with top teams qualifying for regional play in Youngsville.
