Spring ceremony to unite Lawson, Schupp

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald S. Lawson of Crowley are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Kelly Lynn Lawson to Orion Edwin Schupp, V, both of Baton Rouge. Orion is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Orion Edwin Schupp, IV of Rochester, New York.

Kelly is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L.B. Lawson of Crowley, the late Mr. Wilbert Baronet of Crowley and the late Mrs. Julia Hargrave of Duson.

She is a 1996 graduate of Louisiana School for Math, Science and the Arts in Natchitoches. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 2004. Currently, Kelly is employed as a Reliability Engineer for Valero St. Charles Refinery in Norco.

Orion is the grandson of the late Mr. Orion E. Schupp, III and Mrs. Susan Yensen Schupp of Rochester, New York and the late Mr. Lawrence Maka of Erie, Pennsylvania and Ms. Patricia Mereau of Rochester, New York.

He is a 1998 graduate of Greece Arcadia High School in Greece, New York. In 2005, Orion graduated from Syracuse University with his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He is currently employed as a chemical engineer by The Shaw Group in Baton Rouge.

The couple is planning a 2 p.m. ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Crowley. Reverend Roger Tarver will officiate the services set for March 27, 2010.

Following their wedding the couple will reside in Baton Rouge.
