Steve Henry Coleman
CROWLEY — A memorial service for Steve Henry Coleman, 79, will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 6 p.m.. in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel of Crowley. Deacon Gary Gaudin will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. until service time, and will follow the memorial service until 7 p.m. at Duhon Funeral Home in Crowley.
Mr. Coleman passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 4:38 p.m. in his Crowley residence.
A native of Lyons Point, and lifelong resident of Acadia Parish, Mr. Coleman had lived in Crowley for many years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and proudly remained a member of the American Legion until illness made it impossible for him to participate.
Mr. Coleman enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards with his friends. He was a member of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his sisters, Kathleen C. Boudreaux and husband, Calvin of Moss Bluff, Irene C. Dill and husband, George of Crowley, and Leona C. Spell. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Proceeding Mr. Coleman in death were his wife, Audry Bonin Coleman; a son, Steve Coleman, Jr.; his parents, John Henry and Elizabeth Weekly Coleman; sisters, Mazel L. Hargrave, Maldes C. Touchet, Leesbird C. Myers, Sable C. Hollier, Melba C. Labbie, and Shirley C. Fajkus; and a brother, Ralph A. Coleman.
Duhon Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Crowley has been entrusted with arrangements.
