Scriptures for the Nuptial Mass were recited by Estelle Marceaux and Nolan LeBlanc. Gifts were offered by Sadie Richard and Chad Abshire.

Traditional items selected by the bride for her special day included a rosary as something old, her wedding dress as something new, a baby bonnet from the groom’s Baptism as something borrowed, and her garter was something blue.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless, A-lined wedding gown of white bridal satin designed with a semi-ruched bodice drape to the left side, accentuating the re-embroidered appliques and beadwork designs found throughout. A simple pearl hair comb held a fingertip veil of sheer illusion finished with a rolled hemline.

Attending as maid of honor was Meranda LeBlanc, cousin of the groom, while Crystal Granger, the groom’s sister-in-law, was matron of honor.

Bridal attendants were Erin Gillespie, fianceé of the groom’s brother; Chasity Fontenot, cousin of the bride; Emily Granger, sister of the groom; and Lindsey LeBlanc, cousin of the groom.

Serving as flower girls were Katie Abshire and Elanor Guidry, cousins of the bride.

Attending the groom as best man was his cousin, Justin Granger. Groomsmen were Nick Granger, Jeremy Granger and Andrew Granger, brothers of the groom; and Justin and Andrew Abshire, brothers of the bride.

Serving as ring bearers were K.C. Granger, brother of the groom, and Evan Granger, godchild of the groom.

Immediately following the wedding ceremony, the newlyweds were honored during a reception held at the Rayne Civic Center.

Among the refreshments provided for the guests in attendance was the bride’s cake, a white, three-tiered confection noted at each tier with a brown ribbon trim. Completing the creation was a topper including roses and calla lilies. The cake was served by Sadie Richard, godmother of the bride.

The groom’s cake was a horse-theme confection surrounded by chocolate-covered strawberries. The cake was served by Estelle Marceaux, the groom’s godmother.

The couple will make their home in Rayne.

Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was held Thursday, July 9, at the Rayne Fire Hall. The 6 p.m. social was hosted by the groom’s parents, with guests treated to a catered affair by Rayne Diner.
