Suspect arrested in rash of burglaries
CROWLEY - Crowley Police have arrested a juvenile and have issued several arrest warrants for an adult in regards to a rash of vehicle burglaries and vehicle thefts which occurred several weeks ago.
“Our officers, following up on the rash of burglaries, have identified two suspects involved in recent burglaries and thefts,” said Chief K.P. Gibson. “The vehicle burglaries and one of the vehicle thefts occurred in the Hocakaday Heights Subdivision. The remaining vehicle theft occurred on South Avenue H. Our investigators arrested a 16-year-old juvenile male and have charged him with three counts of vehicle burglary and two counts of felony theft of vehicles.”
Arrest warrants have been issued for Hunter Fusilier, 17, of Rayne. His last known address is 2700 Hains Road in rural Acadia Parish (south of Rayne). Fusilier is described as being a white male, 5’8” in height, weighing 150 pounds. He has short brown hair with hazel eyes. He is wanted for four counts of vehicle burglary and two counts of felony theft of a vehicle.
Some property from these burglaries has been recovered.
“We have recovered some property which has not been identified by reported victims. We believe that there may be victims who did not file a police report. We are asking that any person who did not file a report on a recent vehicle burglary to contact detectives regarding the unidentified property which has been recovered,” said Gibson.
