Taj Glodd to be honored as 2013 Seminarian of the Year
Crowley native Rev. Mr. Taj Glodd has been named 2012-2013 Seminarian of the Year by the Louisiana Ladies Auxiliary Association (LLAA).
Glodd, who is assigned as transitional deacon to St. Joseph Catholic Church for the summer, was nominated by the Sacre’ Coeur Kaycee Ladies Auxiliary of Crowley.
He will be honored during the LLAA’s Installation Mass and Banquet on Saturday, July 27, at Visitation of Our Lady Catholic Church in Morrero.
“I’m very humble to have received such an honor,” he said. “I’m very thankful with my whole heart.”
Regarding his nomination by the Sacre’ Coeur Kaycee Ladies Auxilary, he remarked, “They have been with me since day one. Their support has been overwheming; I can’t thank they enough.”
Rev. Mr. Taj Glodd was ordained as a transitional deacon with six other men by Bishop Michael Jarrell on Saturday, May 25.
He is the son of Mrs. Zelma Glodd and the youngest of eight children. St. Theresa Church in Crowley is his home parish. At summer’s end he will be returning to Sacred Heart School of Theology in Hales Corner, Wisconsin, a suburb of Milwaukee, to complete his studies. He earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph Seminary in Covington.
