Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office host prayer breakfast

The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office and Sheriff Daniel Edwards held their November Prayer Breakfast at Little Bethel Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 26 at 7:30 a.m.

The Invocation was giving by Deputy Roy Allbritton, the Pledge of Allegiance was given by Lt. Kenner Harrell. Greetings were given by Sheriff Daniel Edwards and Doris Richardson sang two selections "The Lord is Blessing Me" and "Oh! How I Love Jesus." Chief Eddie Myers acknowledged special guests and Reverend Johnny Milton, Pastor of Mt. Gideon Baptist Church presented the inspirational message of the morning.

Rev. Milton's message was based on Psalms 23, "The Lord's Prayer." Rev. Milton stated, "If the Lord is with us we don't have to worry. I have no fear, I have a promise. God is with you, you're not with God. It thank God that He's not like man . . . Man forgives you because of . . . God forgives you in-spite of. When God is for you, who can be against you."

Sheriff Edwards then asked for special prayer requests and the benediction was given by Rev. Milton. Then the attendees were treated to breakfast. The monthly Sheriff's Prayer Breakfast is open to the public.
