Task Force has big drug bust
The Vermilion Parish Municipal Narcotics Task Force made a big drug arrest recently.
According to Abbeville Police Chief Rick Coleman and, Sheriff Mike Couvillon, the Vermilion Parish Municipal Narcotics Task Force arrested, Terrance Levy who resides at 306 Duroq Street, in Abbeville.
The arrest was the culmination of an intense investigation into Distribution Crack Cocaine.
Because of this investigation, Terrance Levy was charged with Possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, Possession of Alprazolam (Xanax), Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in the presence of Juveniles, and Possession of a firearm in the presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
Task Force agents made several purchases of Crack Cocaine from 306 Duroq Street Abbeville.
Agents then obtained a search warrant for 306 Duroq Street.
Once the search warrant was obtained, agents executed the search warrant at the address locating a Plastic bag containing approximately 30 white rocks of suspected Crack Cocaine.
Also located was one Alprazolam, one Cobra 380 caliber Semi-automatic handgun and two thousand nine hundred eighty dollars ($2980.00) U.S. Currency.
