Task Force makes drug arrest

Felix Small of Abbeville was arrested by the Vermilion Parish Municipal Narcotics Task Force after alledgedly finding him with drugs.

According to Abbeville Police Chief Rick Coleman and Sheriff Mike Couvillon , the Vermilion Parish Municipal Narcotics Task Forced along with officers from the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office and Abbeville Police Department executed a search warrant at 1610 Martin Luther King Dr Apt. 205, Abbeville and located 8.3 grams of suspected Marijuana, two pills marked Watson 540 identified as Hydrocodone, 2½ white pills identified as Xanax, 35 ½ suspected Ecstasy pills, and $1,488.

Agents arrested Small of 1610 MLK Dr Apt. 205, and charged him with: Possession of Schedule I with Intent to Distribute (MDMA), Possession of Schedule I Marijuana, Possession of Schedule III Hydrocodone, Possession Schedule IV Xanax, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous, Substance in the presence of a Juvenile and Resisting an Officer.

Small was transported and booked into the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office Correction Center (VPCC).

The Task Force would like to thank The Abbeville Police Department and The Criminal Investigations Division of the Sheriffs Office for there assistance in this matter.

Chief Coleman and Sheriff Couvillon would also like to thank the concerned citizens in provided the necessary information to the Task Force in curbing illegal narcotics activities in the city of Abbeville and the Parish of Vermilion.
