Teen Miss Eunice gives farewell

On Saturday, November 15 two lovely lucky young ladies will take home the crown of Miss and Teen Miss Eunice 2008. The next year ahead of them will be filled with a lifetime of memories just as my reign has been.

As your 2007 Teen Miss Eunice, I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to serve the city of Eunice with such an incredible honor. I’ve attended various festivals, parades, grand-openings, city functions, and pageants. All the people I have met along the way will forever hold a special place in my heart.

As I traveled I proudly told everyone I was from Eunice, “The Prairie Cajun Capital of the World.” Over the past year, I’ve heard many remarks on how delicious our Cajun food is and how much fun it is to dance to our Cajun music. I now have a deeper interest in other cultures.

I would like to thank everyone who has supported me along the way. Two very important people I would like to especially thank are my mother and sister. Both of these women have given up their time, effort, and patience to make my year the best it could be. I love both of them dearly. I would also like to thank the town of Eunice for giving me such a great opportunity to represent you. I carry the same pride you do in your hearts for our city here in Eunice. I feel blessed to have gotten to wear the banner with its name on it.

After representing this city to the best of my ability, my year as your 2007 Teen Miss Eunice is coming to a bittersweet ending.

Now I, Jennifer Lasseigne, would like to invite everyone to join me on Saturday, November 15 as a new successor is crowned.

Sincerely, Jennifer Lasseigne, 2007 Teen Miss Eunice
