Three arrested in Rayne robbery, rape
Chief Carroll Stelly announced that his office is investigating an Armed Robbery and Aggravated Rape that occurred in the early morning hours of Monday November 16, 2009 at the Days Inn on the Rayne/Church Point Hwy. Detectives have made three arrest in the incident.
Jacky Andrews Jr., 23, 314 W. Edwards St, Rayne
Jeffery J. Babineaux, 20, 510 E. Harrop, Rayne
August “Mud” Miller III, 21, 510 E. Harrop, Rayne
Andrews was charged with 1 count of Armed Robbery and 1 count of Aggravated Rape and total bond was set at $500,000 by Rayne City Judge Jim Cunningham.
Babineaux was charged with accessory after the fact to Armed Robbery and bond was set at $50,000 by Rayne City Judge Jim Cunningham.
The investigation is continuing at this time.
