Tickets available for Opera House
CROWLEY – Tickets are now available for the upcoming show at the Grand Opera House of the South, entitled “Writers on Stage.”
The show, which is to feature four local writers, will be held on the afternoon of August 8 at 2 p.m.
These writers, who are in association with the Writers’ Guild of Acadiana, include Deborah Leblanc, John Francois, Chere Dastugue Coen (aka Chere Claire) and John Morella, will take the stage to discuss their most recent projects. Each will give a 20 minute reading/discussion, followed by a question and answer period.
Deborah Leblanc is a paranormal investigator and author of Water With, Family Inheritance, Grave Intent, A House Divided and Morbid Curiosity.
John Francois has written and self-published three historical novels of Civil War Times in Acadiana, which include Carrier of the March, Cajun Fire and Cajun Knights. He is also an American environmentalist who lived silent and car free for 17 years.
Chere Dastugue Coen has written several Louisiana romances and is a freelance writer. Her latest book, and the one she will be signing is Cooking in Cajun Country with Cajun Karl Breaux.
John Morella has written and self-published “A Guide for Effective Psychotherapy” and will release “Give Teens a Break!” in late 2009.
Following the event, attendees are invited to talk personally with the authors, purchase their books at a discounted rate and have them autographed.
