Twinning Organization welcomes Belgians
Crowley’s Twinning Organization will be entertaining forty Belgians from Vaux-Sur-Sure who will be arriving in Crowley, Sunday, March 30, for a week long visit. All of the visitors have been assigned with families in the area for their stay. Vaux-Sur-Sure is Crowley’s twin city from Belgium.
Receptions, trips and many activities have been planned for the visitors by the City of Crowley and the Crowley -Vaux-Sur-Sure Twinning Organization during their week long stay.
The City of Crowley and Vaux-Sur-Sure have been twinned since April, 1989. Many wonderful trips have been taken and enjoyed between members of both parties. Former Mayors Robert Istre and Isabella de la Housaye with members of the Crowley City Council, have always been most cooperative and welcoming to the Belgian visitors. Present Mayor Greg Jones and his staff have been very helpful in making suggestions and assisting with some of the activities planned for the Belgians for this upcoming visit to the city.
While the Belgians are visiting in Crowley they will be visiting and shopping at some of the businesses in Crowley. All local citizens are asked to make them feel welcomed to our wonderful city at that time.
