Two arrested on narcotics charges
CROWLEY – Two Crowley men have been arrested and face various drug-related charges.
While patrolling the streets of Crowley, officers with the Crowley Police Department recognized a wanted person who had been evading officers, according to Police Chief K.P. Gibson
As the officers approached the known wanted person, as well as a passenger in the parked vehicle, the passenger fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, the passenger was captured and the driver, who was wanted on previous narcotics charges, was taken into custody.
“As the officer’s returned to the vehicle with both suspects, they located multiple bags of marijuana and crack cocaine in plain view,” said Gibson.
The suspects were identified as Denzel McIntyre, 20, of Crowley and Judson Etienne, 22, of Crowley.
Both men have been booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
McIntyre was booked on two outstanding narcotics warrants, as well as possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.
Etienne was booked for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.
Etienne was also charged with resisting an officer.
“The officer’s did a good job recognizing this wanted person and furthering their investigation which led to the arrest of two drug dealers in our community,” said Gibson.
