Una Henry Miller
CROWLEY – Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday January 26, 2012 at the Geesey-Ferguson Chapel for Una Henry Miller, 90, who died January 22, 2012 in Gonzales.
Rev. Farley Painter, Pastor of Faith Christian Church in Kaplan will officiate the funeral services. Visitation may be observed Wednesday, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Thursday from 8 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Abshire Cemetery. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Una was born January 2, 1922 in Crowley; she worked as a waitress and also at Nichols Department Store. She loved making quilts and shared them with all her family. She was a great baker and made the best pralines. She loved flowers and won garden of the month several times.
Una Henry Miller is survived by one daughter, Cecile Doucet of Gonzales; one son, C.J. Doucet and his wife Joan of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Pamela P. Sullivan, Dwayne J. Perry, Della D. Pearce and David Doucet II; 10 great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amar and Leziman Hebert Henry; her first husband David Doucet; her second husband Roy Miller and three brothers and three sisters.
